Trimbach Riesling Reserve 2023

91 Points - Ian D'Agata. Trimbach’s Riesling Réserve is a masterclass in tension and precision. Sourced from organically grown estate vineyards in Ribeauvillé and Bergheim, it captures the concentration of a warm Alsace vintage without losing an ounce of freshness. Packed with citrus, stone fruit and a fine chalky grip, it’s a dry Riesling with both energy and depth—built to age, but hard to resist now.

Wine Press Ratings

91 Points - Ian D'Agata (2023 Vintage)

94 Points - James Suckling (2022 Vintage)

Taste

A vibrant mix of ripe stone fruit, citrus zest and subtle herbal notes, lifted by a hint of spice. There’s impressive power and concentration—hallmarks of a warm, dry Alsace vintage—balanced by razor-sharp acidity and a fine chalky minerality that lingers on the long, focused finish.

About the Producer

Founded in 1626, Maison Trimbach is one of the world’s great wine producers. From their base in Alsace, they craft some of the finest white wines on earth from varieties such as Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling, a grape they are undisputed masters of. Today the house is under the leadership of the 12th and 13th generations of the family with Hubert Trimbach, his daughter Anne and his nephews Jean and Pierre at the helm. Together they manage a range of important vineyard holdings including several Grand Cru sites.  Trimbach’s Rieslings are characterised by a combination of elegance and refinement, precision and power. Every care is taken to produce wines that are worthy of the family name and while they drink well young, they are capable of long ageing.
