
Domaine de L'Espigouette Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2024
A blend of 70% Viognier and 30% Grenache blanc, this Côtes du Rhône Blanc is a delightfully fresh and food friendly wine with plenty of ripe stone fruit character. Pale golden colour with aromas of peach and cherry plum, this is a fruity wine with hints of marzipan and vanilla aroma gently oaked. With a smooth palate and a very soft attack that give a good length. Serve not too chilled at 12 to 14°C and try with Goats cheese or Comté.

Winemakers tasting notes: A fresh and fruity white wine, peach, apricot, exotic fruits, with notes of vanilla, toasted notes and a mineral finish.
About the Producer
Bernard Latour and his two sons Julien (who worked in Australia) and Emilien are making excellent value wines, with the average age of the vines being not less than 40 years of age. Vinification is traditional, in a mix of a stainless steel and cement vats, elevage is then in foudres. (Large wooden vats.)
Domaine de l'Espigouette produces benchmark Côtes du Rhônes from its 20 hectares of vineyards near Violes in the heart of the Southern Rhône. Most of the vineyards are located on the vast open space of the plan de Dieu.
