Roebuck Estates Classic Cuvee 2019
92 Points / Silver Medal - DWWA. The flagship expression of Roebuck Estates — a 2019 Classic Cuvée crafted from the best fruit, 100% hand-harvested and blended from traditional Champagne varieties. Vintage-led and patiently matured, it has spent 48 months on lees, developing remarkable depth, fine mousse and a precise, elegant profile that defines the house style.
Taste
An elegant sparkling wine with delightful notes of baked apple and ripe citrus fruits, layered with a biscuity richness and a delicious hint of sweet spice. Delicate bubbles and vibrant acidity on the palate lead to a long, beautifully balanced finish.
"A producer that stands out from the crowd.” - Jancis Robinson
Wine Press Ratings / Awards
92 Points / Silver Medal - Decanter World Wine Awards (2019 Vintage)
"Apricot and peach character, a touch dried fruit with concentration on the palate, bright well-integrated acidity and elegant bubbles, showing finesse."
Vintage Info
"The 2019 growing season started well with budburst taking place in early April, thankfully avoiding the spring frosts. Moderately warm weather at the end of June resulted in a successful flowering and even fruit set. Good weather in August encouraged consistent fruit development and cooler temperatures in September and October produced an abundance of wonderfully complex fruit with beautifully balanced, elegant acids."
Blend
50% Pinot Noir, 39% Chardonnay, 11% Pinot Meunier
