Roebuck Estates Classic Cuvee 2018

93 Points - Decanter. Roebuck Estates Classic Cuvée is the estate’s flagship sparkling wine, crafted in West Sussex using traditional method techniques. A blend of estate-grown grapes, it delivers crisp acidity, delicate fruit, and subtle complexity — a refined, approachable sparkling that showcases the elegance and precision of English viticulture.

Wine Press Ratings / Awards

93 Points - Decanter (2018 Vintage)

"From the glorious 2018 vintage and aged for 48 months on lees, the Classic Cuvée features a generous, perfumed nose of sweet pear and touches of red berries, dusted with hints of toast. Fresh white fruits and raspberry depth on the palate are balanced by crunchy green fruits, seasoned with white spices and apricot peel. The base wine was aged in old Burgundian oak with a dosage of 7g/l for roundness and texture. Almond and umami notes cleanse the finish."

Blend

44% Pinot Noir 42% Chardonnay 14% Pinot Meunier

Tasting Notes

Rich, yet pale lemon in colour. Notes of baked pears and citrus fruits are layered with a toasty richness and hint of sweet spice. Delicate bubbles linger on the palate leading to a long, beautifully balanced finish. This wine is drinking well now but will undoubtedly, continue to improve with additional bottle age.
