Wine Press Ratings

95 Points - Ray Jordan (2021 Vintage)

"Oh yeah, baby. We have something here. Super saturated mix of dark plummy blackberry fruit bursts on the nose with a licorice and dark chocolate addition. The palate is richly concentrated, revealing lavish flavours perfectly integrated with fine-grained tannins and a liberal amount of oak. Just a faint hint of minerally ironstone completes an outstanding wine. Cellar: 18 years "

93 Points - Winepilot (2021 Vintage)

"From a superb vintage, this is a Barossa gem. Deep maroon in colour, there is some toasty oak evident, though it has been very well handled, giving hints of vanilla and a flick of cinnamon. The nose exhibits dried herbs, bay leaves, black fruits, coffee grinds, chocolate and cocoa powder. A muscular style with firm tannins, but it is also most generous in structure. The wine is well balanced and there is very good length here. Some intriguing hints of bacon fat emerge on the palate. It will continue to provide pleasure for the next ten to twelve years."
