Product image 1

La Croix Saint Christophe Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2022

At the end of 2011, Peter Kwok (Owner of Chateau Haut Brisson and Enclos de Viaud) acquired Château Tour Saint Christophe with his daughter Karen and La Croix Saint Christophe is the second label of the Château. Traditional farming, Guyot pruning with natural grass between the rows combined with working the soil under the vine, de-budding, leaf removal and green harvest if necessary to maintain the environmental balance. 40-year-old vines, and 15 months in French Oak Barrels (60% new). A beautiful texture, nice concentrated flesh, warming while retaining the freshness of the vintage. La Croix Christophe is an elegant Saint-Émilion with all the ingredients to continue to age gracefully for another 10 years.

Vivino Rating: 4.1 (Apr 2025)

Wine Press Ratings

92 Points - Cellar Tracker (2018)

91 Points - International Wine Report (2016)

"The 2016 La Croix Saint Christophe opens to aromas of dark cherries and blueberries woven together with spices and cigar box that all come together in the glass. This medium-plus-bodied red impresses with its lovely polished frame and nice overall balance and concentration throughout. This should offer a moderate drinking window which could span a decade, however, it will be a wonderful wine to approach this in its youth."

Taste

Concentrated nose with hints of white chocolate and cedar. Aromas of raspberry, blood orange and cocoa powder. A beautiful texture, nice concentrated flesh, fiery while retaining the freshness of the vintage.
