Chateau des Tours Brouilly Lieu dit 'Les Tours' 2023
Château des Tours farms some of the oldest vines in Brouilly, with parcels in the lieu-dit Les Tours — a hillside plot on the edge of Combiaty where some vines are over 80 years old. First produced in 2014, this cuvée shows just how serious Beaujolais can be. A beautifully judged wine that proves Brouilly is capable of elegance as well as charm.
Taste
There’s real finesse here: pure blackcurrant and cherry fruit on the nose, a touch of spice, and a silky, refined palate with impressive depth and persistence.Â
About the Producer
Château des Tours is a historic estate dating back to the 14th century, surrounded by its own vineyards. A symbol of tradition, the old bell rings each morning during harvest to mark the start of the day. Vinification takes place on-site, with each parcel fermented separately to preserve its character. The Vieilles Vignes cuvée comes from a select parcel of 50-year-old vines, aged in seasoned oak to enhance its depth and complexity.
