Chateau Meyney Saint-Estephe 2020
93 Points - Decanter. Chateau Meyney 2020 is probably the best wine this impressive property has produced since its acquisition by Crédit Agricole Grands Crus in 2004. 2020 was an exceptional year in Bordeaux and the conditions seem to have agreed with Chateau Meyney’s well-placed vines. Scoring 93 from Falstaff Magazine and Jeff Leve who described it as, ‘Rich, ripe, supple and lush, the wine is polished, fresh and offers layers of fruit-filled pleasure with every sip’, this is a seriously good Meyney.

Wine Press Ratings
93 Points - Decanter
"A punch of bright plummy fruits, a little austere on the finish but one that you feel will age well. Mocha and coffee bean through the mid palate, keeping things moving right along at a fair pace, with a generous handful of rosemary and sage spice on the finish. Harvest 16 September to October 1. Always one of the real value picks in St-Estèphe."
About the Producer
Chateau Meyney is one of the oldest estates in the Medoc and can trace its roots back to 1662. Its 51 hectares lay in a single block in the northern commune of Saint Estephe and is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. For decades it was part of the Cordier family of estates, but since its acquisition by Crédit Agricole Grands Crus, the quality has soared. Today, Chateau Meyney is regarded as one of Saint Estephe’s finest estates, offering Grand Cru quality for Cru Bourgeois money.
