Trimbach Riesling Grand Cru Geisberg 2019
98 Points - James Suckling. A rare jewel from one of Alsace’s most celebrated sites, Geisberg 2019 is Riesling at its most precise and age-worthy. Intense citrus and stone fruit meet layers of wet stone, saline minerality and laser-like acidity. Built to shine now and for decades to come.
Taste
Lime zest, white peach and green apple on the nose, with hints of jasmine and flint. The palate is taut and mineral-driven, unfolding with citrus, ripe pear and a saline, mouth-watering finish that lingers beautifully.

98 Points - James Suckling (2019 Vintage)
"Very complex, with a kaleidoscopic mix of youthful and maturing aromas, plus an intense tarragon character that doesn’t neatly fit in either of those characters. Quite some chopped-almond richness on the concentrated, medium- to full-bodied palate. However, the most extraordinary thing about this wine is the enormous, stony minerality that washes over you at the extremely long finish. From organically grown grapes."
About the Producer
Founded in 1626, Maison Trimbach is one of the world’s great wine producers. From their base in Alsace, they craft some of the finest white wines on earth from varieties such as Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling, a grape they are undisputed masters of. Today the house is under the leadership of the 12th and 13th generations of the family with Hubert Trimbach, his daughter Anne and his nephews Jean and Pierre at the helm. Together they manage a range of important vineyard holdings including several Grand Cru sites. Trimbach’s Rieslings are characterised by a combination of elegance and refinement, precision and power. Every care is taken to produce wines that are worthy of the family name and while they drink well young, they are capable of long ageing.
