About the Producer
Founded in 1882, Domaine de La Croix is close to the village of La Croix Valmer and the beaches of the Saint-Tropez Peninsula. Its area is 1800 acres, of which 1000 are vineyards that go down to the sea. In the 1955 ranking, the winery was designated as Cru Classé de Provence and is the largest Cru Classé vineyard in the area.
Here, the sun-drenched grape varieties benefit from beautiful maritime influences, conducive to their development. The Domaine's three very diverse terroirs, including a little gem called Bastide Blanche right next to the sea, produce grapes of great quality. The soils, differing but predominantly sandy-shale, allow the roots to penetrate deep. This particularity makes the vines less sensitive to lack of water, while promoting complexity and finesse of aromas.
