Mas de Mancuso Mancuso Garnacha 2021

94 Points - Robert Parker. The Mas de Mancuso Mancuso Garnacha 2021 is one of the finest Garnacha wines made in Carinena, which is saying something given how many great Garnacha wines are to be found here. Made from old vines that give naturally low yields, it offers a lovely combination of plump, juicy red and black cherry fruit with blackberry and raspberry notes. Medium-bodied and soft, touches of raspberry and loganberry, it's a fresh form of Garnacha, one that bears more than a passing resemblance to Pinot Noir.

Vivino Rating: 4.0 (April 2025)

Wine Press Ratings

Taste

Medium-bodied and soft, touches of raspberry and loganberry, it's a fresh form of Garnacha, one that bears more than a passing resemblance to Pinot Noir. Rated 4.0 on Vivino, it's great now with everything from red meat and cheeses to tomato based dishes and roasted vegetables, it will develop further over the next 5+ years.

About the Producer

Jorge Navascués isn’t just one of Spain’s top consultants — he’s also quietly making some of the country’s most exciting Garnacha at his family project, Mas de Mancuso, in the Valdejalón hills of Aragón. Planted at altitude on poor, stony soils, these old vines yield wines of remarkable finesse and purity. This is Garnacha with lift and energy — perfumed, elegant, and finely etched — a world away from the heavy-handed styles of the past. Minimal intervention in the cellar, and a real sense of place in the glass. Definitely one to watch.
