Amazingly deeply coloured (you get the impression that light bends around it!), the bouquet boasts raspberries, blackcurrants, fruits of the forest and undergrowth. Powerful but refined, the flavour profile runs from cherries and blackberries to coffee and coconut by way of spiced raspberries and creamy vanilla. While there's a Port-like richness and power to it, it remains food-friendly and pairs well with mature cheeses, spicy sausages, roasted vegetables, and mushrooms.
