Chateau Pavillon Beauregard Lalande de Pomerol 2019
90 Points - James Suckling. The Chateau Pavillon Beauregard hails from Lalande de Pomerol, a commune of Bordeaux that made the most of the fantastic 2019 vintage. Lalande de Pomerol's best wines share many of the characteristics of the wines from its more famous neighbour, while offering great value for money - something no one could accuse Pomerol of doing. The Chateau Pavillon Beauregard 2019 received 90 points from The Wine Independent, and it's easy to see why. With its plump nose of crushed black fruits, flowers, cherries and mint, weighty palate of blueberries, black and red berries, and creamy finish, it's a class act. Savour this with a good steak, steak and kidney pudding, cheese soufflé, or coq au vin.
Blend: 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc
Vivino Rating: 4.1 (Oct 2025)
Wine Press Ratings
90 Points - James Suckling (2019 Vintage)
"Cherries, blueberries, dried herbs, chili chocolate and peppercorns on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with plush tannins. Juicy and creamy. Chocolatey finish. From organically grown grapes. Delicious already, but better from 2023."
About the Producer
Château Pavillon Beauregard is a quietly ambitious Lalande-de-Pomerol estate with serious pedigree. Owned by the Cathiard and Moulin families of Château Beauregard fame, it shares both terroir and cellar with its more illustrious sibling. The 12-hectare vineyard, planted predominantly to Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc, sits on a clay-gravel plateau in Néac, just over the border from Pomerol . Vinified in the same state-of-the-art facility as Beauregard, the wines are supple, fragrant, and polished—offering real charm and finesse without the fanfare. A hidden gem with serious pedigree.
