Tenute Ca 'Botta Le Pergolette Garganega Bianco Veronese IGT 2022
The Le Pergolette is made exclusively from the local speciality, Garganega. Tenute Ca ’Botta go to great lengths to extract as much flavour as they can so give the grapes an extra-long maceration and a long, slow fermentation. The result is a wine that has all of Garganega’s freshness and vitality but with greater body, richness and intensity. This is a fine example of what this excellent variety can do in the right hands.
Vivino Score: 4.2 (Sept 2024)
Taste
Golden in colour, it exudes aromas of ripe peaches, and red apples, with banana and almond adding a tropical, nutty edge. Fresh and clean, tones of pears, melon, and green apple dominate, but green figs, peaches and apricots add complexity and texture. The finish is clean, tangy, mineral-soaked and long, with a savoury note of toasted almonds.Â
