Wine Press Ratings

92 Points - Natalie MacLean (2024 Vintage)

"Château d'Aquéria 2024 Tavel Rosé is a dry, full-bodied expression of the southern Rhône, blending Grenache with Clairette, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Bourboulenc, and Picpoul. The wine is fragrant with pink florals, lavender, and dried wild herbs, alongside juicy red berry and strawberry flavours. Rich on the palate, it beautifully reflects the terroir of the south of France. A delightful rosé to enjoy now, lightly chilled, and perfect with grilled chicken dishes or pork tenderloin."

Taste

"A gently perfumed style, soft, with a touch of inner sweetness. Very fine in texture with well-balanced acidity and a long, red-fruited finish. This has a svelte, tapered shape, silky and pure."

About the Producer

Château d’Aqueria is a historic Tavel estate that has been crafting distinctive, terroir-driven rosé wines since 1595. Situated on a sprawling 113-hectare estate, it epitomises the essence of Tavel with meticulously farmed vineyards planted to Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and other Rhône varietals. Known for its structured, age-worthy rosés, the estate combines traditional winemaking techniques with a modern approach, delivering wines that balance ripe, sun-soaked fruit with striking minerality and a signature savoury edge.

Certification

(HVE) Haute Valeur Environnementale

Environmentally-friendly wine-growing is nothing new at Château d’Aqueria. It is a state of mind and our identity. For over 20 years, Château d’Aqueria has applied deeply-rooted undertakings:

A weather station located in the heart of the vineyard is used to develop study models which reduce human intervention to the strict minimum.

Organic fertilization uses leaves, vine shoots and other noble organic matter, crushed at the foot of each vine-plant, which provide the soil with natural balance and stability.

Every application in the vineyard takes environmental impact into consideration.
