Trimbach Pinot Gris Reserve 2018
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast. Trimbach’s 2018 Pinot Gris Réserve is a textbook example of the house style—precise, structured and quietly complex. From a warm vintage, it shows generous orchard fruit, subtle spice and a whisper of smokiness, all wrapped in a dry, finely tuned frame. Rich but never heavy, it’s a grown-up Alsace white with real ageing potential.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast (2018 Vintage)
"Only a hint of freshly cut, ripe pear peel appears briefly on the nose of this wine. The palate presents a precise picture of concentrated ripe, green pear that comes with purity, precision and restraint. All the fruit is there, but rather than rounding out, it soars with freshness, which is a real achievement in 2018. The finish is dry and vivid." Anne Krebiehl MW
Taste
Rich, full-bodied and opulent, it’s technically dry, but the generous fruit and long, layered palate create an impression of sweetness. Look out for a touch of smokiness on the finish. Bright acidity brings balance and structure, giving the wine both finesse and ageing potential.
About the Producer
Founded in 1626, Maison Trimbach is one of the world’s great wine producers. From their base in Alsace, they craft some of the finest white wines on earth from varieties such as Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling, a grape they are undisputed masters of. Today the house is under the leadership of the 12th and 13th generations of the family with Hubert Trimbach, his daughter Anne and his nephews Jean and Pierre at the helm. Together they manage a range of important vineyard holdings including several Grand Cru sites. Trimbach’s Rieslings are characterised by a combination of elegance and refinement, precision and power. Every care is taken to produce wines that are worthy of the family name and while they drink well young, they are capable of long ageing.
